portable library project

After many weeks of it sitting on my dresser, I finally decided to develop the roll of film. On the roll were photos of my portable library project that I completed back in early november of last year! I took my camera around with me for a week in october and took shots each day. I then selected my favourite ones and crumpled, distressed and sanded them (no teastaining this time around), and highlighted some of each image's details with hand stitching in black. I then mounted each on a beautiful piece of woven silk. My project, as well as many others, can be viewed at the following locations:
